And The Winners Are…..

Final Week Countdown to Wayland's Iron Chef II – Sunday, September 18th, 4-7 pm at Sandy Burr Country Club

The judges, Chef Rico DiFronzoa from Primebar, Peg Richardson Owner and Chef of Bullfinch's and Geoff Gardner Owner of Sel de La Terre are ready to review the presentation, creativity and flavor of the hors d'oeuvres and entrees presented to them but our six, sizzling, grilling teams:

Public Safety– Chief Irving, Chief Loomer & Lt Pat Swanick – will they play it safe?
Wayland Schools – Pat Tutweiler, Marlene Dodyk and Beth Butler – hoping to get an "A"
Sudbury Valley Trustees – Nancy Hallen, Christa Collins, Betsy Stokey – last year's overall winners
Wayland Business Assoc. – Michael Abend, Frank Cutitta, Linda Thalheimer – they will take care of business!
Dudley Pond Assoc. – Steve Garone, Bob Smith, Lynn Paolella – will they bring their green slime specials this year?
Neighborhood Brigade – Ron Catanese, Amanda Lustig, Olga Patel – our thoughtful new entry.

If by any slim chance you do not know any of the above Wayland folks, you may recognize the gifted entrants in our new, Cake Decorating competition judged by Beyond Beans' Chef Sheldon Strasnick and Party Favors' John Pergantis:

Parmenter's Nancy Carapezza and Cindy Mayher
Library trustees Lynne Lipcon and Thaddeus Thompson
Wayland Garden Club's Julie Mansfield and Antje Schaefer

The whole evening will be hosted by our superb Master of Ceremonies Scott Gaddis  who is back by popular demand.

If you get hungry watching the food preparations you may want to sample some of the incredible hors d'oeuvres and desserts donated by over 25 caterers and restaurants at the buffet stations.

Feeling lucky?  Test your skill at wine bottle ring toss (ring it, you win it) or the raffles for restaurant or lottery ticket boards. Enjoy music from many decades selected by DJ Jonah Camiel and smile, you're on Waycam.

Tickets are $50 and can be purchased at The Wayland Council On Aging (COA), The Village Bank or at the door.  There is a capacity limit so plan ahead.  This event is sponsored by The Friends of the Wayland Council On Aging, a non-profit 501C3 organization.

And the winners will be……   the Wayland Council On Aging and the seniors who benefit from the wellness, socialization and information programs offered every week.
