The Wayland Council on Aging is holding its own “Souper Bowl” during the month of January, collecting donations of canned soup and stew for Open Table Food Pantry in Maynard, Ma.

Nearly one in three adults in Massachusetts experiences food insecurity. Open Table Food Pantry in Maynard distributes customized bags of groceries, which include fresh produce, proteins, dairy, baked goods, and shelf-stable products, to more than 300 households each week — including in Wayland — and provides more than 800 prepared meals to clients in the suburbs.
