Over 10 million people in the US are affected by physical violence every year. This number skyrockets once we include other forms of abuse. Domestic abuse or coercive control is a deliberate pattern of behavior that involves many forms of abuse, control, intimidation, and isolation. It is about systematically dominating and controlling another person.

Lisa Fontes, a nationwide expert on the subject, will lead the workshop. Ms. Fontes is the author of Invisible Chains: Overcoming Coercive Control in Your Intimate Relationships and Interviewing Clients Across Cultures: A Practitioner’s Guide.
