In the final of five workshops on housing, on Thursday, May 25, at 10:30 a.m., the Council on Aging presents a workshop on Alternative Housing Models. Mike Crisafulli, Wayland’s Building Commissioner, will discuss Accessory Dwelling Units (ADU), sometimes known as granny flats or in-law suites and the zoning requirements in Wayland. Anna Maria Pulsar, President of Sharing Housing, Inc., will discuss shared housing and how to make it successful. Victoria Thatcher, Co-Founder, Hager Homestead Cohousing, will talk about cohousing and will describe the Hager Homestead Cohousing, the first 55-plus cohousing development in New England. All of our workshops have been recorded and are available for viewing online; you can find links to the first four workshops here. Reservations are required for this final workshop; please contact the COA to sign up at 508-358-2990 or coa@wayland.ma.us.
