St. Anne’s in-the-Fields Episcopal Church partners with American Red Cross to host community blood drive

Lincoln, MA – St. Anne’s in-the-Fields Episcopal Church will host a community blood drive with the American Red Cross on July 21, 2022 from 11 AM to 4 PM at 147 Concord Road, Lincoln, MA.

For more information or to make an appointment to donate, call 1-800-RED-CROSS (1-800-733-2767) or sign up online at redcrossblood.org with sponsor code STANNEITF.

“St. Anne’s in-the-Fields Episcopal Church is committed to serving and giving back to the community. There is a desperate need for blood donations to help treat patients in this area and beyond,” said Heather Martino, Drive Coordinator. “With a simple blood donation, we have the ability to help save the life of someone who could be a coworker, loved one or neighbor.”

Blood is routinely transfused to patients with cancer and other diseases, premature babies, organ transplant recipients and trauma victims, according to the Red Cross. With someone in the U.S. needing blood every two seconds, blood products must be constantly replenished, according to the Red Cross.

“The short amount of time it takes to donate can mean a lifetime to a patient with a serious medical condition. We urge eligible donors to join us in the selfless act of giving blood.”

According to the Red Cross, donors with all blood types are needed, especially those with types O negative, A negative and B negative.

St. Anne’s in-the-Fields is a vibrant and loving Christian community, committed to growing through ministries that challenge our minds, feed our souls, and open our hearts. We are thrilled to be able to partner with the Red Cross so members of the local community, regardless of faith background, have an opportunity to do something easy that makes a big impact.
