Wayland Junior Broadway is an opportunity for 5th graders at the three elementary schools to participate in an afterschool Musical. The Production Team (Directors, Choreographers, Music Directors, Technicians, etc.) would be older high school students already involved in the Wayland High School Theater Ensemble (WHSTE). The Advisor for Wayland Junior Broadway will be Aidan O’Hara, the Drama Teacher and Director at Wayland High School.
The title for this inaugural year is still TBD, but it will be a recognizable and super fun musical that has a running time of about an hour.
Wayland Junior Broadway will run from mid-September 2022, thru January 2023. Rehearsals (and performances) will be at Wayland High School on Wednesdays, 2-4:15 or 4:30pm (with more rehearsals the weeks during January). Performances will be Friday, January 20, 2023 at 7pm, and Saturday, January 21, 2023 at 5pm.
Wayland Junior Broadway will be a collaborative effort between WHSTE and WSCP (Wayland Schools Community Programs.)
