MetroWest Visitors Bureau Presents 9th Annual MetroFest, June 11

The MetroWest Visitors Bureau welcomes all to attend the 9th annual MetroFest on Saturday, June 11, 2022. The event will be held at the Bowditch Athletic and Cultural Complex, 475 Union Ave, Framingham, MA 11am-4pm. 2022 marks our return to an in-person festival following two virtual events during the pandemic years as “MetroFest: At Home Edition!”

This event is made possible each year thanks to our many sponsors and volunteers. With their help, this event is again free admission for the family-friendly event, which will offer food, arts, exhibitors, music, classic cars, craft beverage tastings, and much more.

Make sure you show up hungry as there are 15+ different food trucks coming. To name a few: Sun Kim Bop Korean Fusion; Eds French Fries – fries and poutines; The Taco Dude; The Smokin Food Truck 51, and many more.

Throughout the day, you will be able to enjoy a variety of music and entertainment on two stages, with a little something for everyone. Enjoy performances by returning groups The Reminisants with Oldies, Eguie Castrillo and his Orchestra, Latin percussion, and new in 2022 The Zajac Family Band featuring your favorite classic rock and more.

Family-friendly activities will include Touch-A-Truck, magic shows, community stage performers, classic cars and lawn games. Habitat for Humanity returns with their playhouse building area. New this year is a remote-controlled racing car track, and the Framingham Public Library’s Bookmobile.

MetroFest is again excited to showcase a variety of offerings from MetroWest region: the Colonial Curling Association, bounce houses and inflato obstacle course in Kids Town; and a tasting tent featuring Framingham’s Jack’s Abby Craft Lagers and Natick’s Lookout Farm Brewing & Cider Co.

“MetroFest unites residents, visitors, and businesses together from the MetroWest area and is the largest arts and culture event of its kind in the region,” says Erin Lynch, Executive Director of the MetroWest Visitors Bureau. This is the 9 th year for MetroFest and we are excited to continue to showcase the tremendous assets across this region. There is so much to do and see! The MetroWest region possesses such amazing cultural diversity and that is what we highlight at MetroFest–from the food and music to activities, community entertainment, tastings of the region’s locally produced beer and hard cider, businesses and activities. There is something for everyone and this is a family friendly, FREE event. Come one, come all, and relish in the richness of the region.”

  1. Good morning, I am interested in participating in the 2023 Metrofest as a craft vendor. Online, all I see is the application for 2022. Can I apply with the 2022 form, or will a 2023 application be posted soon? The craft that I offer is a magnetic wind up car with attached Lego figure on the back of each. To find my display at craft fairs, simply look for the tent surrounded by children.
