Wayland Town Crier 4/24/22: Wayland historian’s research on women and war is brought to life. For local historian Jane Sciacca, a chance meeting brought her research to life and gave a Walpole woman a deeper look into her own mother. In November, Sciacca gave a virtual presentation, “Three Wayland Women: WWI Yeomen (F), the First Women to Serve in the Military,” which focused on three women with Wayland ties who were among the first to enlist in the U.S. military.
