Two events for parents this evening, Tuesday, October 2

“Stop telling me what to do!!” Helping kids with ADHD with less yelling and more cooperation at Wayland 7pm at Wayland Middle School:

Dr. Sharon Saline, a veteran psychologist, has extensive experience working with children, teens, parents and school staff on how to better manage ADHD. Based on her new book, What your ADHD child wishes you knew: Working together to Empower Kids for Success in School and Life, Dr. Saline offers rare insights into how kids honestly think and feel about having ADHD and what best helps them. With her unique, strength-based approach–’the 5 C’s of ADHD parenting,’ you will learn how to teach your kids the essential daily living skills they need for success with less arguing and more cooperation. WCPA Parenting Talk: Healthy Bodies, Healthy Relationships, 7:30pm at Wayland High School

Join the WCPA for an informative talk to help you better respond to children’s questions about sexuality topics with factual and age-appropriate information.

This workshop, led by Community Health Educator, Lily Kofke, is geared toward parents of young children (preschool through elementary) and will provide non-judgmental insight into the stages of normal sexual development in young children. Learn how you can help create an environment of trust and communication that keeps your child safe and healthy.
