Memorial Day Schedule of Events (for Monday, May 30, 2016)

UPDATE:  Due to the expected Memorial Day storm, the parade will not be held tomorrow.  Indoor ceremonies will be held at Wayland Middle School in the Gymnasiuym.  Plan to arrive at around 11am as seating is limited, the ceremonies will begin at 11:30am.

Wayland’s Memorial Day Parade will form at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 30, 2016, at the Wayland Middle School, 201 Main Street.  The parade steps off at 11:00 a.m. and will proceed along Route 27 to Route 30 to the Lakeview Cemetery in Cochituate.

In the event of rain, the service will be held in the Middle School Gymnasium at 11:00 a.m.

NOTE:  The Council on Aging Van will depart the Wayland Town Building rear parking lot, at the rear door of the Senior Center, at 8:00 a.m. for the early morning ceremonies and non-marching Veterans.  Additional non-marching Veterans may board at the parade staging area at the Middle School.
