Police report home invasion on Morrill St

Wayland Patch 2/11/16: Police Searching for Man Who Broke Into Wayland Woman’s Home. A Wayland woman was unharmed Feb. 10 when a man broke into her home near Cochituate Lake at about 8 p.m. According to police, a woman was sleeping when a man busted through her front door and headed upstairs in her home. When the intruder came back downstairs after finding the upstairs was an unfinished attic space, the homeowner had exited her room and spotted him.

On Wednesday, February 10, 2016, the Wayland Police Department responded to a Morrill Street residence for a reported Home Invasion.

Upon arrival of officers, they determined through interviewing the homeowner that the male suspect(s) forced his way into the residence through the front door.  The homeowner reported that the suspect(s) actually followed her throughout the residence, before leaving, prior to officer’s arrival.

Evidence was gathered at the scene and will be processed.  This is the second house break in the area within the last four months.  The Wayland Police Department encourages all residents to contact the Wayland Police Department regarding any suspicious activity they may see.
