The WHS girls varsity basketball team will hold its third annual Coaches vs Cancer fundraiser game in memory of Jim Griffin on Tuesday, February 9. The girls and boys varsity basketball teams will play in a double header at home vs. Weston High School. The girls will play at 5:30 pm followed by the boys at 7:00 pm. These games will be dedicated to Jim Griffin, a former WHS guidance counselor and freshman girls basketball coach who passed away four years ago from pancreatic cancer.
The teams will be selling Coaches vs. Cancer t-shirts with Jim’s initials on them for $10.00. If you are interested in purchasing a t-shirt or would like to donate in Jim’s name, please email Coach Amanda Cosenza at Amanda_Cosenza@wayland.k12.
