Wayland Town Crier 1/14/16: Wayland’s senator introduces highway safety bill. State Sen. Richard J. Ross, R-Wrentham, who represents the town of Wayland, testified before a public hearing of the Joint Committee on Transportation on Jan. 6 regarding legislation he filed to preserve public safety and prevent trespassing on state highways. Sen. Ross filed the legislation early last year in response to public safety concerns on several interstate highways due to several demonstrators stopping traffic.
