The Russian touring group, Golden Gates, will be performing in a Family Concert at Community United Methodist Church in Wayland on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at 6:30 pm. The public is invited to come and enjoy an educational and entertaining performance featuring traditional classical instruments, Russian songs and dance, humor, and audience participation. “Talented youth and adults from schools and colleges in Russia, Georgia, Ukraine, Kazakhstan and more come to USA for 5 weeks to introduce their culture and history and learn and experience how people live in the United States”, writes Vitaliy Bezrodnov, coordinator for the group. A free will offering will be taken to benefit Russian Children. Traditional Russian souvenirs will be available for sale.
