Wayland School Committee policy under review

Wayland Town Crier 12/16/15: Wayland School Committee policy under review. The School Committee received the following policies at its Nov. 30 meeting – “Authorized Signatures” (DGA) and “Physical Restraint of Students” (JKAA).

Citizens who wish to review these policies are encouraged to view them here, or visit the superintendent’s office in Town Building during normal business hours where all School Committee policies are on file and available to the public.

Residents and other interested parties are encouraged to offer oral and/or written comments and reactions to the School Committee regarding the proposed policy changes. All School Committee meetings begin at 7 p.m. in the School Committee Room on the second floor of Town Building and are open to the public.

The School Committee reviews all of its policies periodically, writing new ones or revising existing ones as circumstances warrant. Committee members believe the aforementioned revised policies are in the best long-term interest of the Wayland Public Schools. Questions concerning this policy may be directed to Superintendent Paul Stein at 508-358-3763.
