Council on Aging/ Community Center Advisory Committee seeks public input

June 19, 2015

To Wayland Residents:

The new Council on Aging/ Community Center Advisory Committee held its first meeting last night. As you may remember, Town Meeting has approved a budget for this group to 1) conduct an environmental study on the Municipal Pad site at Town Center, 2) conduct an assessment of the existing building on the site, 3) make a recommendation to the BOS on the viability and suitability of the existing building for a Community Center and Council on Aging facility, and, 4) to prepare a conceptual and schematic design for a CoA/CC.

We are prepared to work efficiently to deliver our report by the end of August. An important part of this work is to communicate with all interested individuals, groups, departments, and committees in Town in order to make sure that we have heard their hopes, plans, and concerns related to this project. Further Information is available online here.

If you have information that may have a bearing on the project, please contact co-chair Jean Milburn at 39york@gmail.com
