Summer rowing for adults and students

WWCrewSummer rowing for students:  Would you like to try rowing? Would you like to stay in shape, get more water time, or enter some local races? Wayland-Weston Rowing Association is offering programs for beginners and experienced junior rowers on Lake Cochituate this summer. These programs are open to students from any school.

Weekly programs offer an introduction to crew for beginners as well as workouts for strength and endurance for experienced rowers. There will be both sculling and sweep rowing. Rising 9th graders, this program is an excellent opportunity to try rowing, if you are thinking about joining our successful high school team in the fall.

We are also offering a competitive summer program for experienced rowers, which will meet in three-week sessions and race in local races.

Learn to row intensive weekend for adults:  If you have ever wondered what rowing is like, here’s your chance to find out! Wayland-Weston Rowing Association is offering a learn-to-row program for adults. The intensive weekend class is offered July 18-19, 8-12am both days, on Lake Cochituate in Wayland. You will receive a full introduction to the sport, including time on the water with experienced coxswains and rowers.
