In the winter of 2013 board members of Arts Wayland and Dr. Courtney Lavigne of Courtney Lavigne Dentistry put their heads together to find greater visbility for the work of local artists. Dr. Lavigne was starting her new dental practice in the Wayland town center, and the walls of her space seemed a perfect place to display local art.

At the office opening in August of 2014, the first artist’s exhibition was installed, and every three months since then the exhibition has rotated and featured the work of a new artist. In addition to Dr. Lavigne’s office, the project has now grown into several other local businesses.

On June 10th there was a gallery opening hosted at the office of Courtney Lavigne Dentistry featuring the work of local Wayland high school students. It’s another way Arts Wayland and Dr. Lavigne are working to promote a local sense of community and a greater awareness of the talent in our own backyards.

The office address is 109 Andrew Avenue, suite 202. The office is located on the second floor of the Beth Israel building in the new Town Center.
