The Community Preservation Committee approved $445,000 for a 3 mile stone dust rail trail. With the gift from the town center developer and other funds the total available is $735,000. The details are in the CPC Rail Trail Application (online here).
How can you help? Most important will be your vote to approve the rail trail article at Spring Town meeting. We will be hosting a series of Rail Trail Open House sessions to cover important topics and answer questions. The first two were held on January 29 and February 26, with one remaining session on March 25th at Wayland Town Building. Then come to Town Meeting on April 6. If you have a questions, concerns or ideas regarding the trail please come to the Open House and/or email Larry Kiernan.
