UPDATED: Wayland Police arrest suspect in gas station robbery

Arrested: Tyler B. Kim, 16 Oak Hill Rd., Wayland, MA. Age 24
Charges: Unarmed robbery, possession of Class A, default warrants

On 12/17/14 at approximately 18:40, Officer Henderson observed Tyler Kim walking in the area of Oak Hill Rd. Officer Henderson knew that Kim was wanted for a robbery that took place on 12/16/14 in the Town of Wayland. Officer Henderson approached Kim and placed him under arrest. Kim was also wanted on warrants out of Wayland and Sherborn. Kim was also found to be in possession of heroin. Kim was booked and held on default warrants to appear in Framingham Court on 12/18/14

waylandpoliceOn Tuesday, December 16, 2014, at approximately 6:51 p.m., the Wayland Police Department responded to the Sunoco Gas Station located at 19 Main Street for a reported Robbery. Upon the officers’ arrival, the suspect had fled the scene in a dark colored Acura 4-door sedan.

During the initial investigation, a former employee of Sunoco, Tyler B. Kim, 24 years old had been identified as the individual responsible for the Robbery.

Kim has not been apprehended at this time and the Wayland Police Department is in the process of obtaining an Arrest Warrant for him. During the Robbery, there were no weapons shown and the investigation is ongoing by the Wayland Police Department.
