The Foundation would like to offer Wayland teens the unique opportunity to develop as community leaders and philanthropic conveners through our highly valued Youth in Philanthropy program that has been running for the past 17 years.
During the program students will:
- Learn the importance of the nonprofit sector
- Discuss ways to create lasting impact in their community
- Form a Board of Trustees and run for leadership positions
- Learn how to fundraise
- Visit local nonprofit organizations
- Distribute grants to nonprofits of their choice at the close of the program during a special grant ceremony
Our next session begins in January with classes located in Sudbury. High School students from area towns are encouraged and welcome to apply.
