Sharon Advocate 7/3/14: Selectmen pick Turkington as Sharon’s new town administrator. haron selectmen have offered Fred Turkington the town administrator’s position at a specially called meeting on July 2.
Pending successful contract negotiations, Turkington is expected to start his new job on July 18, according to selectman chairman Bill Heitin. Turkington was the former town administrator in Wayland. He was dismissed a year and a half ago amid what some say were politically motivated reasons.
