Specifically, the Committee will assist in the development of an RFP, tour comparable developments, establish bid criteria, analyze and compare bid proposals, interview top-rated bidders and then provide recommendations to the Board of Selectmen.

Interested parties should possess professional expertise or Town experience in at least one of the following disciplines: real estate financing or development, market and/or affordable rental housing, architectural design, land use planning or engineering, senior housing issues, real estate or environmental law.

Two at-large citizens are needed to serve on this Committee. The remaining seven Committee members will consist of a member of each of the Board of Selectmen, Finance Committee, Board of Public Works, Wayland Housing Authority or Housing Partnership, Planning Board or Design Review Board, Council on Aging and Economic Development Committee. In making appointments, the Board of Selectmen will strive for appointments that benefit the entire Town. All members will serve a term which will expire upon the disposition of said land by sale, lease or otherwise.
