Medway Country Gazette 5/16/14: Medway: Town administrator finalists named. The Town Administrator Search Committee has announced the selection of four finalists who will now be interviewed by the Board of Selectmen later this month. Current Town Administrator Suzanne Kennedy, who was hired in 2005, said she will retire when her contract expires in June. With the help of municipal personnel experts, the Edward J. Collins, Jr. Center for Public Management, the Town Administrator Search Committee reviewed the resumes of 30 applicants and narrowed the pool to four finalists. Of the four candidates, one is a homegrown talent: Assistant to the Town Administrator Allison Potter. In addition to Potter, the other finalists are former Wayland town administrator Frederic Turkington Jr., Walpole Town Administrator Michael Boynton and West Boylston Town Administrator Leon Guamond Jr. Turkington Jr., most recently served as Wayland’s town administrator until he was fired that town’s Board of Selectmen last August during a board meeting.
