Wayland Town Crier 4/10/14: Town Meeting makes decision on Dudley Woods. A Town Meeting vote on Monday night ended a decades-old tug-of-war between residents who want to preserve a 7.2-acre parcel of land for passive recreation and constituents who advocated other uses like the construction of affordable housing. Article 9, the proposal to transfer parcels of land on Doran Road, Curtis Road, Pond Drive and Cross Street to the Recreation Commission, passed with an amendment creating an affordable housing trust.
