Wayland, Weston consider leaving Minuteman High School

Wayland Town Crier 4/8/14: Wayland, Weston consider leaving Minuteman High School. Facing increases in their bills if a planned district building project goes ahead, several towns in MetroWest are weighing whether to leave Minuteman High School. Two of them, Wayland and Weston, will have Town Meeting votes this spring on whether to depart the regional vocational school. Both currently have fewer than 10 students at Minuteman, and thus are among the most likely of the Lexington school’s 16-town members to see their capital assessments shoot up as a result of the proposed renovation, which could cost up to $130 million.
