Wayland Town Crier 3/20/14: Minuteman committee strengthens Lexington vote. In a move what some area town officials are calling frustrating and disappointing, the Minuteman School Committee voted Tuesday to change the terms of proposed changes to the regional agreement. The 8-5 vote decreases the strength of Arlington’s weighted vote from 33.03 percent to 19.64 percent, and increases that of towns sending fewer students to the Lexington vocational school. The strength of votes from Lexington, and to a lesser extent Belmont, Needham and Stow, are also reduced after Tuesday night’s vote, for which there was one abstention and one committee member absent.
