Wayland Town Crier 1/9/14: Committee comes up with new plan for River’s Edge in Wayland. The Economic Development Committee (EDC) is soliciting the Board of Selectmen’s advice, and possible co-sponsorship, on a revised warrant article for Town Meeting on River’s Edge, a proposed affordable and market-rate rental housing project on Rte. 20 near the landfill. After narrowly failing at last spring’s Town Meeting to garner the two-thirds majority necessary to allow the original proposal for a 216-unit, 67 percent age-restricted project, the EDC has formulated a less dense project of 150 to 190 units, with 25 percent age-restricted.

Wayland Patch 1/9/14: Previously Rejected Wayland Housing Complex Being Revived. A previously rejected housing complex for Route 20 in Wayland is getting new life. Wayland’s Economic Development Committee is reviving the previous River’s Edge apartment complex proposal and hopes two put two related articles on the Annual Town meeting warrant for April, according to EDC Chairman Rebecca Stanizzi.
