Wayland Town Crier 12/14/13: Long-planned rail trail taking shape. Years in the making, a 23-mile section of a proposed multi-use recreation path stretching from Northampton to Boston is inching closer to reality. But there’s still no official timetable yet for the Wayside Branch of the Mass Central Rail Trail, which extends from Berlin to Waltham and in MetroWest intersects Hudson, Sudbury, Wayland and Weston – at least not until funding becomes available for the multi-million-dollar project.
