Wayland Student Press Network 11/7/13: WaylandCares prepares to withdraw from WHS. After being denied a financial grant this past September, WaylandCares is preparing to withdraw its presence from the high school. In 2008, WaylandCares was given a grant of $625,000. The grant was distributed over the next five years. As of September, $11,000 remained. “They’ve started a lot of great things, so hopefully we can find some ways to continue some of the things they’ve done,” Dean of Students Scott Parseghian said.
