The West Suburban Veterans’ Services District will be conducting a short seminar on some basic benefits that may be applicable to Wayland veterans and their families. Our intention is to provide a brief overview of several of the federal benefits that are available through the Veterans Affairs (VA) Department. Also, we will be explaining the benefits and assistance program for veterans and their families that are sponsored by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, as there are significant differences between the federal and state options that are available. There will be time after the presentation to field specific questions or to arrange individual appointments.
The seminar is open to veterans and their families, of all ages, and will be held on Monday, November 4th, 2013, at 10:00 AM at the Council on Aging at the Wayland Municipal Building. Again, this is a great opportunity for veterans of all eras to learn about the availability of the valued resources that they may be entitled to.
