Wayland resident files complaint over firing of town administrator

Wayland Town Crier 9/6/13: Wayland resident files complaint over firing of town administrator.  The Board of Selectmen will hold its first meeting on Monday night since firing its town administrator, Fred Turkington, “without cause” after eight years on the job and providing him one year of severance pay at $152,500.  Assistant Town Administrator John Senchyshyn will once again fill in for the top job, having previously filled in after Executive Secretary Jeff Ritter departed in 2005. The Board of Selectmen will hold an extended public comment session on Monday night from 7:25 to 8 p.m. In addition, the board plans to address an Open Meeting Law complaint filed by resident Kim Reichelt on the firing in an executive session at the beginning of the meeting and in open session at the end.
