METCO director plans to ‘respect the process’ in financial inquiry

Wayland Town Crier 9/5/13: METCO director plans to ‘respect the process’ in financial inquiry. Records and documentation surrounding $20,440 in unexplained expenses in the now-closed METCO discretionary account are being sought by the School Committee from the program’s director Mabel Reid-Wallace. Questions about the account were raised during a presentation to the committee on Tuesday night on Wayland Public Schools financial activity for fiscal years 2007 to 2012 made by Jim Powers of the audit firm Powers & Sullivan.
