Peaceful Beginnings Preschool, owned and operated by former 15-year director of Wayland’s Little Dove Early Childhood Center, is holding an Open House on Monday, September 9th at Peace Lutheran Church’s Community Place. Peaceful Beginnings Preschool is a socialization program for children between the ages of 1.9 years through 3 years of age. Director and Lead Teacher, Kathleen Sawyer, believes that young children grow and learn through play. The goal of Peaceful Beginnings is to provide an age appropriate curriculum that meets individual needs and promotes growth, encourages individuality, and fosters self-esteem. This is achieved by educating the whole child while placing a strong focus on all development areas (social, emotional, physical and intellectual).

Peaceful Beginnings is a Monday, Wednesday and Thursday program from 9:00 am – 12:30 pm. The program follows the Wayland school calendar year and is starting its first year of operation this month. There are still couple of openings for the current school year. There are two Parent/Child Visit dates to meet Kathleen and to view the newly designed preschool space –– Tuesday, September 3 from 9-11am and Wednesday, September 4 from 12-2pm. An Open House will take place on Monday, September 9 from 9-10:30. The first day of class is Wednesday, September 11th. Former Little Dove families and students are invited to come by to view the space and visit the Kathleen and wish her luck on her new program!
