Wayland Town Crier 9/3/13: AG says Wayland Finance Committee violated Open Meeting Law. The Finance Committee violated the state Open Meeting Law by deliberating on proposed Town Meeting articles over email, according to a decision last week from the attorney general’s office. The complaint is the latest in a long line filed by former selectman George Harris against various Wayland boards.

Wayland Patch 9/12/13: Legal Trouble for Wayland Finance Committee. The Wayland Finance Committee violated the Open Meeting Law last year by exchanging opinions over email and not responding to an Open Meeting Complaint, according to the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. The AG’s office, in an Aug. 26 letter, concluded the committee illegally exchanged their opinions on a proposed warrant article through several email discussions.
