Wayland Town Crier 5/27/13: Wayland resident named to 2013 NESCAC All-Academic Team. Alex Southmayd of Wayland, a sophomore at Amherst College in Amherst, Mass., was named co-captain of the men’s varsity squash team for the 2013-14 season. A graduate of Groton School, he was named to the 2013 New England Small College Athletic Conference’s Winter All-Academic Team. To earn this honor, an individual must be a varsity letter winner with a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.35.
