Nancy McShea earns Community Branch Professional of the Year Award

The Massachusetts Recreation and Park Association held its annual conference last week in Hyannis and Nancy McShea, Recreation Director in Wayland and Park and Recreation Director in Sudbury, was awarded the 2013 Community Branch Professional of the Year Award. The Massachusetts Recreation and Park Association (MRPA) recognizes the importance of honoring certain of its community recreation professional members who have rendered outstanding service to this association and to the community recreation profession. McShea has served on the MRPA Executive Board for the past 3 years, served on the programming committee for 6 years and serves on the National Recreation and Park Association programming committee. McShea is a Certified Park and Recreation Executive who has been involved in the field of recreation for the past 15 years and prior to that served as an educator and college coach. McShea has been working as the combined director for Wayland and Sudbury for the past 4 years and continues to strive to bring the best recreational experiences and opportunities to the residents that she serves.
