Robert Gordon, an attorney at a Boston private law firm for more than two decades, has always wanted to be a judge. “I have wanted to be a judge for as far back as I can remember,” he told members of the Governor’s Council on Wednesday afternoon during his confirmation hearing. Gordon, who lives in Wayland and served on the School Committee, is one of Gov. Deval Patrick’s picks for Superior Court. Patrick resubmitted his nomination to the new council in January. He was the second nominee to appear before the eight-member council, which has four new members this year.
