Wayland Patch 10/29/12: Despite Much Damage, Injuries Avoided During Hurricane Sandy.Fire Capt. Andy Holland said the Wayland Fire Department has responded to numerous calls throughout Wayland today, but he isn't aware of any storm-related injuries in spite of plenty of falling trees and debris. Holland said he personally had responded to three calls for trees on homes, leaving behind some significant damage, and, he said there could have been other calls to which he didn't respond. Still, he knew of no hospital transports for injuries. But the damage isn't minimal.
