Wayland Town Crier 4/9/12: Mixed reaction to wind turbine proposal for Stop & Shop. About 30 residents showed up at the Planning Board meeting last week to consider the green initiatives that Stop & Shop is preparing for its new store at the Town Center. The most controversial component of the project for board members and residents is the proposed six wind turbines that would generate about 1 percent of the energy needed for the store.
