HOLIDAY HOURS
The library will be closed on Easter Sunday, April 8.

Star Wars program
An afternoon of Star Wars!  Come dressed as a character for the costume contest, bring your show-and-tell items, learn about the history of Star Wars, join in a trivia contest, play video games, and more!  Ages 6 and up.  Saturday, March 24, from 2-3:30 p.m.  Families welcome!  Call 508-358-2308 for more information.

TRANS-ARCTIC CANOE EXPEDITION.  On Tuesday, April 3, at 7:30 p.m., Jeremy Harrison will be at the library to present an account in words and photographs of his 50 day/800 mile trans-arctic canoe journey through the untarnished wilderness of northeastern Canada’s barren lands, from Pike’s Portage to the Arctic Ocean, in support of WWF-Canada.  The six-man team found both tranquility and adversity in a landscape characterized by sharp contrasts between tranquil beauty and unforgiving conditions.  Jeremy is an art teacher, painter and photographer living in Massachusetts.  He fell in love with the wilderness at his family’s cottage in the Adirondacks and gained his canoeing experience in Minnesota, where he was a camper and later a trip leader.  He first ventured into the high Arctic with Alex Hall in 2006, and then as a member of the 2007 Trans-Arctic Canoe Expedition.

TEXT MESSAGE NOTICES.  In addition to searching our catalog on your smart phone, you can now get text message alerts from the library when your held items are ready for pick up.  To start receiving text messages, log into "My Account" from either the Wayland Library or Minuteman Library website.  Once you are in your account, click “Modify Personal Information" under your name and follow instructions on screen.
