Wayland High School students will perform their last play in the high school's Little Theater. Alison Grimm at the Edge of the World follows the journey of a young woman as she travels through the real and the fictitious, the known and the unknown, after incurring a serious head injury. As the story unfolds, the main character, played by Iliana Smalanskas, embarks on an adventure where she encounters mystical creatures; faces danger head on; and eventually finds true love. This original piece was written and directed entirely by students and the musical numbers were composed by the student pit band. There is no charge for tickets, but an $8 donation is suggested with proceeds going directly to the Jim Griffin Family Trust, which was established to help defray the expenses of the family of Jim Griffin, a long-time guidance counselor at the high school who has recently been diagnosed with cancer. Tickets are available at the door and can also be reserved online throughEvents@WHSArts.com.
