2nd Wednesday COA BROWN BAG SERIES continues: Wed., Oct. 12, Noon, Wayland COA at Town Building.  VIVIEN LI: President of the Boston Harbor Association.  Vivien Li is a visionary who has balanced private and commercial interests to promote a clean, alive and accessible Boston Harbor. She was the guiding  force behind Harbor Walk that links the water’s edge to the city’s open space system. Enjoy a roundtable discussion with this fascinating speaker.  Bring a sandwich; appetizers and dessert will be provided.  $10 for the remaining 2 sessions.

TRIP TO BOSTON HARBOR LOCALE, Wed., Oct. 19. $25.00 per person. Leave Wayland at 10am.  Return by 3pm.  Bus will first go to Long Wharf area to enjoy the sights, sounds and smells and meet briefly with a Boston Harbor rep. Explore Harbor Walk and read the various markers with points of interest. For those interested, consider taking a ferry to meet us at Charlestown Navy Yard.  Otherwise, board our bus again and travel to Charlestown.  Meet briefly with a Park Ranger at 1:15pm to learn more about the Naval Yard’s history and exhibits.  Lunch on your own in either location..Long Wharf area or Charlestown Navy Yard.   (This trip offering is open to all. Participation in the October Brown Bag Series on Oct. 12 with Vivien Li will increase one’s awareness of Boston Harbor but is not a pre-requisite for trip registration.)
