Wayland Town Crier 7/1/11: Two hurt when car, motorcycle collide in Wayland. Police said two people were injured Wednesday when a motorcycle and car collided at Old Connecticut Path and Rte. 27. No one is expected to be charged in the 8:59 p.m. crash, Police Chief Robert Irving said. The wreck is under investigation. Irving said he does not know specifics. Zachary Haigney, 17, of Wayland, was riding the motorcycle that collided with a car driven by Matthew Tarantino, 19, also of Wayland, the chief said. Haigney was taken to Massachusetts General Hospital for treatment, Irving said. A hospital spokesman said Haigney was released yesterday. Tarantino was not injured, but his father, John Tarantino, 55, was taken to Newton-Wellesley Hospital. His condition was not known.
