Wayland Town Crier 6/10/11: Moving forward on development of Lee Farm in Wayland. The Northbridge Companies, a Burlington-based operator of four local assisted living communities, has taken a step forward in the development of an assisted living community on the back parcel of Lee Farm on Boston Post Road in Wayland. The company has signed the purchase and sale agreement and has begun the special permitting process with the town of Wayland. They anticipate breaking ground on the property this fall. The Northbridge Companies plans a 60,000-square-foot, two-story facility on the back 4.8 acres of the 10-acre site. The Bongiorno Family Trust’s intent is that the remaining 5.2 acres will be utilized for agricultural uses, and has been working with local representatives from LEES/Pine Brook Association, an organized group of Wayland citizens who plan to revitalize the agricultural aspect of the farm and farm stand.
