Dave Farland couldn't believe it: a bear emerging into a clearing below his boss' Wayland house yesterday, just moments after Farland had been talking with a co-worker about a Boston Bruins fan in Maine who had trained an unofficial mascot. "We just got done talking about it, and there it is," Farland said, a few hours before the Bruins were scheduled to play Game 1 of the Stanley Cup finals. "That's a good omen."
