Wayland Patch 5/29/11: House Fire Sends Three to Hospital. Three people are being treated for what authorities are calling minor burn injuries, after a house fire at a Wayland home earlier Sunday afternoon. Deputy Fire Chief Vinnie Smith said at about 4:20 p.m., the station received a call about a house fire at 21 Leary St. The fire was quickly knocked down by the first arriving company, said Smith. Three people – a man, woman and child of approximately 10 years old – were treated at the scene for what Smith called minor burn injuries.
