Belmont Citizen-Herald 5/16/11: State Rep. Conroy in talks about U.S. Senate run. State Rep. Thomas Conroy, D-Wayland, who has pointedly criticized U.S. Sen. Scott Brown since the Wrentham Republican won his seat in Washington, is talking with supporters about whether to join the four-person field of Democrats in next year’s U.S. Senate race. “I’m just asking folks for advice,” Conroy told the News Service during a break from a Health Care Financing Committee hearing on Gov. Deval Patrick’s health care payment reform bill. “People are encouraging me.” National Journal reported Monday that Conroy called potential supporters over the weekend.
