WHDH 7/27/11: Wayland one of few schools to hold class Thursday. Many schools in the Commonwealth were closed on Thursday for another snowstorm, but one school just delayed start time for 1.5 hours. On the South Shore, Norwell always has the reputation of never closing during snowstorms, but they were closed on Thursday. Many communities in the Metro West were also closed today, but Wayland was not one of them. The snow looked inviting, but the piles in Wayland will have to wait, because school was on – just 1.5 hours late.
