Immediate Openings! Wayland Community Pool seeks qualified, enthusiastic lifeguards for weekday afternoon and evening shifts and weekend hours starting November 22nd. Expanded hours available starting in January 2011.
Lifeguards play a vital part in the daily operations of the pool. Their role is to set an example through leadership and professionalism. Must be able to complete pool reports and assist in maintenance of pool area and other duties as needed.
Employee Requirements:
- Current American Red Cross Certification for Lifeguarding/First Aid and CPR for the Professional Rescuer and AED Essentials.
- Lifeguards must be at least 16 years old.
- Attend lifeguard orientation session.
- Be dependable, alert and able to interact with people of all ages in a positive manner.
- All lifeguards are required to perform a basic lifeguard skill test consisting of 500 yard swim and demonstrated knowledge of basic rescue techniques.
